Teacher Recruitments in Uttar Pradesh

Government school teacher recruitment in UP follows a two-step pipeline: clear a teacher eligibility test first, then apply for the recruitment exam itself when vacancies are announced.

The pipeline, in short

  1. Step 1 — Get eligible: pass UPTET or CTET. This is a one-time qualifying hurdle with lifetime validity — it does not by itself offer a job.
  2. Step 2 — Apply for recruitment: when the state announces vacancies, apply for UPSTET (Super TET), the actual Assistant Teacher recruitment exam.
  3. Step 3 — Selection: merit list, document verification, counselling / choice-filling, and appointment order.

Beyond UPSTET

Uttar Pradesh also periodically recruits teachers through other channels (e.g. secondary/higher-secondary level commissions, aided school boards). This site currently focuses on the UPTET → UPSTET pipeline; broader coverage may be added over time.
